About This Position

Ted Britt Ford Lincoln in Chantilly is continuing to expand our Mobile Service Program and is seeking a motivated Mobile Service Technician to join our team.

This role offers the best of both worlds — you get to perform hands-on repairs while also interacting directly with the customers you serve. Our Mobile Technicians serve as both technicians and service advisors, representing the dealership while performing maintenance and light repairs at customers' homes, workplaces, and fleet locations throughout the DMV.

We are looking for a self-starter who is organized, professional, and comfortable working independently in the field. This position offers strong earning potential, the opportunity for a take-home service vehicle for qualified candidates, and the chance to build meaningful relationships with customers while providing convenient service that keeps them on the road.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical components.
  • Perform maintenance and service work per manufacturer specifications.
  • Ensure all repairs meet dealership and manufacturer quality standards.
  • Communicate clearly with mobile service customers regarding repair needs and timelines.
  • Maintain certifications and participate in ongoing technical training.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
  • Some automotive maintenance experience required (dealership experience preferred).
  • ASE certification(s) or manufacturer certification(s) preferred.
  • Proficient in using diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
  • Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers
  • Ability to read and interpret repair manuals and technical service bulletins.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
