Business Data Analyst – SEA020

Position Summary: The Business Data Analyst supports operational and financial decision-making by developing automated reporting, analyzing key performance indicators, and delivering actionable insights across departments. This role partners with Operations, Accounting, Dev, and leadership teams to improve reporting accuracy, streamline data processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Daily Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Ops Excellence team to improve reporting on specific KPIs including exchange completion rates, Dispatch Track closure correction percentage, Delivery and RT completion rates, On Time rates, Not at Home rates, and Not on Truck percentage.
  • Transition In Home Damage and Safety reporting to an automated system.
  • Assist operational staff with KPI performance analysis by generating impactful reports and summary views.
  • Oversee the development of databases, worksheets, and queries for capturing and reporting useful information to enable fact-based decision-making.
  • Work with the Dev Team to ensure data tables for the primary database support reporting goals.
  • Prepare and summarize conclusions for various ad-hoc requests to support decisions.
  • Present insightful recommendations to the accounting team, senior leadership, and various departments based on sound analyses and metrics.
  • Work cross-functionally with departments to ensure appropriate communication on project needs and information is obtained and considered.
  • Support the manager and accounting team on financial requests and special projects.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to maintain confidential information and use sound judgment in handling sensitive data.
  • Ability to prepare reports, business correspondence, procedure documentation, and executive-level summaries.
  • Ability to act independently, support cross-functional initiatives, and drive positive change across the organization.
  • Flexible approach to work, including commitment to the time required to complete responsibilities properly and willingness to work flexible schedules and shifts as needed.
  • Travel as needed.
  • Ability to work extended or flexible hours as necessary to meet deadlines, handle special projects, and support business priorities.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods in one location which may be restricted to the employee's workstation.
  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, or accounting/finance is required.
  • 5 or more years of financial, business, and/or operational analysis experience.
  • Strong knowledge of financial, business, and operational analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Access, including formulas, pivot tables, queries, tables, reports, and database maintenance.
  • Experience with data visualization tools is required; Power BI experience is preferred.
