Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) – School-Based Assessments in Bronx, New York at Lighthouse CH

The Lighthouse ABA's School Services department is looking for a BCBA to join our team conducting assessments for students receiving DOE-funded, in-school ABA services. This is a highly visible, clinically rich role for a BCBA who wants to make a direct, measurable impact on students' access to services.

What You'll Do

• Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs), Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), and skills assessments for students in school settings
• Travel to NYC schools and clients' homes for in-person observation and assessment sessions
• Serve as an expert witness, testifying at Impartial Hearings as needed
• Collaborate closely with parents, the School Services team, RBTs, and case managers to translate assessment findings into actionable recommendations
• Prepare clear, well-organized assessment reports suitable for DOE review and Impartial Hearing documentation

What We're Looking For

• Current BCBA certification (required)
• Licensed Behavior Analyst (LBA) in New York State (required)
• Based in, or able to reliably travel throughout, the NYC area
• Experience within the NYC DOE system - familiarity with DOE processes, clearances, and school-based service delivery strongly preferred
• Comfort and willingness to testify at Impartial Hearings
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write reports and testify clearly under scrutiny
