This is a remote opportunity to support the procurement activities of a global organization working on innovative solutions in neurodegenerative disease research.
You will manage purchasing processes from purchase-order creation through delivery, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and timely fulfillment.
The role combines supplier coordination, administrative precision, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration.
You’ll work closely with research, finance, and other internal teams to understand requirements and secure the right products and services.
Your attention to detail will help maintain reliable procurement records and ensure purchasing activities meet internal and regulatory standards.

- Create, process, monitor, and track purchase orders, ensuring information is accurate and deliveries are completed on schedule.
- Liaise with suppliers to request product information, quotations, availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and purchasing conditions with vendors to secure appropriate value and service.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier details, purchase orders, contracts, and related documentation.
- Partner with research, finance, and other internal stakeholders to understand purchasing requirements and coordinate procurement activities.
- Investigate and resolve issues involving orders, shipments, deliveries, invoices, and supplier communications.
- Assist with identifying, evaluating, and sourcing new suppliers in accordance with organizational standards.
- Ensure purchasing activities follow established policies, procedures, and applicable industry or regulatory requirements.
- Support efficient procurement administration in a remote environment while managing multiple requests and priorities.
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Coordinator, Procurement Assistant, Purchasing Specialist, or in a comparable administrative procurement role.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple purchasing activities and deadlines simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy when handling purchase orders, supplier information, invoices, and procurement records.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for professional interaction with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, for maintaining data, tracking purchases, and preparing reports.
- A proactive, dependable, and independent working style suited to a fully remote environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve purchasing or supplier issues efficiently.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, healthcare, research, or another regulated industry is desirable.
- Familiarity with procurement software, purchasing platforms, and supply-chain management principles is an advantage.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while maintaining strong administrative discipline.
- Competitive compensation: $30–$35 USD per hour.
