This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Pessoa Desenvolvedor (a) Back end Java Sênior based in Brazil.
This is a senior backend engineering opportunity for a professional who enjoys designing and delivering scalable, reliable, and maintainable software solutions. You will work extensively with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs while contributing to technically complex projects. The role combines hands-on development with technical guidance, quality assurance, system monitoring, and continuous improvement. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an agile environment and help translate business and technical requirements into effective solutions. The position also provides exposure to cloud infrastructure, event-driven architectures, batch processing, and AI-assisted software development. - Develop backend applications and software solutions using Java and related technologies, following technical specifications, project requirements, and established development standards.
- Design and implement efficient, scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions using Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and RESTful APIs.
- Perform software testing, identify and resolve bugs and technical issues, and ensure the quality, stability, and reliability of delivered solutions.
- Document source code, technical decisions, and implemented solutions to facilitate future maintenance, evolution, and knowledge sharing.
- Provide technical guidance and support to other developers, contributing to high-quality deliveries and helping the team address complex technical challenges.
- Research, evaluate, and adopt new technologies and development practices that can improve application performance, efficiency, scalability, and maintainability.
- Develop, configure, and monitor batch processing solutions, preferably using Spring Batch.
- Monitor systems and applications running in production, proactively identifying issues and implementing corrective and preventive solutions.
- Contribute to system integrations and apply appropriate integration patterns to ensure reliable communication between applications and services.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in agile environments, contributing to technical discussions, planning, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
- Incorporate AI-assisted development practices into the software lifecycle, using appropriate tools and APIs to improve engineering productivity and solution quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong professional experience in backend software development with Java, including Java 8, 11, and 21.
- Solid knowledge of Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and RESTful API development.
- Experience working with SQL Server and Sybase databases.
- Professional experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Knowledge of messaging and event-driven technologies such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience creating and monitoring batch processing solutions, preferably using Spring Batch.
- Practical knowledge of system integration patterns and integration architecture.
- Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum, XP, or Kanban.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence applied to software development, including tools such as Devin, Cursor, or Gemini, integration with AI APIs, Large Language Model (LLM) concepts, and best practices for adopting AI in backend applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to investigate technical issues and develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication skills, with an ability to communicate quickly, clearly, and assertively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams and contribute to shared technical objectives.
- Programming language and cloud certifications are desirable.
