This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Director of Sales Operations based in the United States.
This leadership role is responsible for building a repeatable, predictable, and scalable operating engine that supports sustainable revenue growth. You’ll lead a team of sales operators while partnering closely with senior Sales Leadership to improve forecasting, pipeline health, productivity, and operational efficiency. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution across processes, systems, analytics, and go-to-market operations. You’ll establish the operating rhythms and performance insights that help sales teams stay accountable and make better decisions. As a key member of the Revenue Operations leadership team, you’ll identify high-impact opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive meaningful improvements across the sales organization. - Lead and develop a team of sales operations professionals, using rigorous analysis to identify opportunities, develop recommendations, and execute solutions to the sales organization’s most critical challenges.
- Partner with VP-level and senior Sales Leadership to define strategic priorities, improve operational excellence, and support sustainable revenue growth.
- Own key sales operating rhythms, including forecast calls, pipeline reviews, quarterly business reviews, and monthly business reviews.
- Develop and refine KPI dashboards that provide clear visibility into sales performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Deliver actionable, data-backed insights and translate findings into concrete plans to improve growth, efficiency, and sales execution.
- Partner with Sales Leadership to align revenue targets, forecast accuracy, pipeline health, and annual sales operations priorities.
- Develop the annual Sales Operations roadmap, including territory design, quota setting, go-to-market planning milestones, and other strategic initiatives.
- Serve as a bridge between Sales Leadership and technical teams such as Data and GTM Engineering, translating business requirements into clear technical specifications, success criteria, and timelines.
- Maintain strong working knowledge of the sales technology ecosystem and own Tier 1 Salesforce configurations and single-system workflows.
- Partner with GTM Systems teams on multi-system integrations, technology evaluations, implementation, and change management.
- Drive adoption and measurable business impact from sales technologies and operational improvements.
- Identify and execute process improvements that increase efficiency, deal velocity, and revenue predictability.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Finance, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to improve lead flow, conversion, and overall go-to-market alignment.
- Proactively identify opportunities to use AI tools and automation to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across sales operations workflows.
- Continuously assess business processes and systems to uncover opportunities for optimization, innovation, and growth.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of relevant experience in high-velocity SaaS environments, including experience partnering with VP-level or senior Sales leaders.
- Deep expertise in Sales Operations, including sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, process optimization, performance management, and KPI development.
- Proven ability to combine strategic vision with hands-on execution and deliver immediate operational improvements while building long-term scalable capabilities.
- Strong analytical and business judgment skills, with the ability to identify high-leverage opportunities and prioritize initiatives based on business impact.
- Demonstrated experience building, coaching, and motivating high-performing teams with clear accountability and a growth-oriented culture.
- Excellent influencing, stakeholder management, and communication skills, with the ability to build consensus across complex and diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to simplify complex concepts and communicate clearly through both written and verbal formats.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-changing environments while maintaining resilience, adaptability, and focus.
- Highly accountable, proactive, and solutions-oriented, with a strong sense of ownership for outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency with Salesforce, sales engagement platforms such as Outreach, Salesloft, or Gong, and Excel or Google Sheets.
- Strong experience with data analysis and reporting tools.
- SQL experience is preferred.
- Experience with Tableau, Looker, or similar BI platforms is preferred.
- Familiarity with AI/ML tools and frameworks is preferred.
