Pay: $20.00/hour | $41,600 annually

Xiente is seeking an IPS Activity Coordinator to develop and lead engaging activities for youth ages 10–18 participating in our Intensive Prevention Services (IPS) program.
In this role, you’ll create meaningful experiences that help young people build confidence, strengthen social-emotional skills, develop positive relationships, and connect with their communities. We’re looking for someone who can bring creativity, consistency, compassion, and positive energy to every interaction.
What You’ll Do Plan Engaging Youth Activities- Create and maintain a structured calendar of activities aligned with IPS program goals.
- Design fun, age-appropriate, and trauma-informed programming.
- Develop activities focused on life skills, teamwork, social-emotional learning, and positive youth development.
- Adapt programming based on the interests, abilities, and individual needs of participating youth.
- Facilitate individual and group activities in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
- Build positive, trusting relationships while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
- Encourage participation and model positive behavior and healthy peer interactions.
- Help youth build confidence, communication skills, and meaningful connections.
- Work closely with IPS Case Managers, counselors, and program leadership.
- Ensure activities support participants' individual service plans and overall program goals.
- Communicate with families to promote involvement and reinforce youth progress.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and interdisciplinary planning.
- Maintain accurate attendance records, activity logs, and progress notes.
- Ensure required documentation meets applicable program, city, and state requirements.
- Track youth participation and engagement to support program improvement.
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming environment for youth.
- Partner with community organizations, recreation centers, cultural institutions, and service providers to expand programming opportunities.
- Help coordinate off-site activities, special events, and guest speakers.
- Represent Xiente professionally when working with community partners.
- Associate Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Human Services, or a related field OR equivalent experience working directly with youth in community-based or prevention programs.
- Previous experience facilitating youth activities, recreational programming, workshops, or groups.
- Experience working with at-risk youth, families, or community organizations.

- A strong communicator and collaborative team member.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, community-based environment.
- Skilled in maintaining documentation and accurate records.
- Able to support crisis prevention and de-escalation using trauma-informed and restorative approaches.
- Familiarity with Philadelphia neighborhoods and youth-serving systems.
- Experience with Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), restorative practices, or trauma-informed care.
- Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
- Valid driver's license and ability to assist with off-site programming, if applicable.
$20.00 per hour
Equivalent to $41,600 annually
