Location: Polk Mental Health Clinic - Livingston, TX
Position Number: 1323
Salary: $43,920 - $45,355 annually, depending on qualifications and experience
Travel Reimbursement: Provided

About the Role
Burke is seeking a compassionate and motivated Mental Health Clinician to provide direct care rehabilitative services to adults with chronic mental illness, while also potentially serving children/adolescents and their families. Services are provided in office, community, and home settings throughout Polk, San Jacinto, and Tyler Counties.

The Mental Health Clinician will perform services according to each individual's approved recovery plan and in compliance with Center and Medicaid standards. Responsibilities include emergency assessments, rehabilitation services, documentation, and collaboration with treatment teams to support consumer recovery and wellness.

This position requires strong organizational skills, flexibility, self-discipline, and the ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with consumers, families, and community providers.

What You'll Do
- Provide rehabilitative mental health services to adults and families
- Deliver services in office, community, and home settings
- Conduct emergency assessments as needed
- Implement services according to approved recovery plans
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with clinical staff and treatment teams
- Support individuals with chronic mental illness in achieving recovery goals
- Travel throughout the assigned service area to provide services

What We're Looking For
- A bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, medicine, registered nurse, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistant, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education, early childhood intervention, or other Human Services discipline that meets QMHP requirements, from an accredited college or university
- Strong documentation and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Flexibility and adaptability in a community-based setting
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid Texas driver's license

What Helps You Stand Out
- Six (6) months' direct care experience working with adults in a behavioral healthcare or mental health setting
- Familiarity with DSM IV diagnostic criteria
- Licensed Bachelor Social Worker (LBSW) credential

Work Schedule
- Monday-Friday, generally 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
- Occasional after-hours work may be required to complete job responsibilities

Licenses & Certifications
- Valid Texas driver's license required
- Must be physically able to complete SAMA, CPR, First Aid, and Defensive Driving training modules
- Driving record must be insurable by Burke's insurance administrator
- Reliable personal vehicle required with routine travel throughout the service area

Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, and communicate effectively
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand, walk, and drive for extended periods
- Ability to perform tasks requiring hand and finger dexterity
