About The Role
As a Houseperson in our Engineering department, you will play a key support role in maintaining the overall cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the property. This hourly, full-time position works closely with the engineering and housekeeping teams to ensure guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces are well stocked, tidy, and operating smoothly. You will assist with room and furniture setups, respond to service requests, and help keep equipment and supplies organized so the team can deliver a consistently high-quality environment for guests and staff.
What You'll Do
- Support daily housekeeping and engineering operations by maintaining cleanliness and organization in guest, public, and back-of-house areas
- Collect, transport, and deliver linens, supplies, and equipment to designated floors and storage areas
- Assist with room setups, furniture moves, and event or meeting room configurations as requested
- Respond to service requests from the engineering and housekeeping teams in a timely, professional manner
- Perform basic cleaning tasks in public spaces, corridors, stairwells, and service areas, including trash removal and floor care
- Inspect corridors and public spaces regularly, addressing any safety or cleanliness issues and reporting maintenance needs
- Replenish stock of linens, guest supplies, and cleaning materials in closets and storage rooms
- Support minor maintenance tasks as directed by the engineering team, such as changing light bulbs or replacing basic fixtures
- Follow all safety, security, and emergency procedures, including proper use of chemicals, tools, and equipment
- Collaborate with teammates and communicate effectively with supervisors to ensure efficient coordination of tasks and shift coverage
- Adhere to company policies, grooming standards, and attendance expectations while providing courteous service to guests and colleagues
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping, facilities, janitorial, or a similar support role preferred but not required
- Ability to communicate clearly in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness, safety, and quality standards
- Capability to work on your feet for extended periods and to lift, push, or pull moderate to heavy items (such as carts, linens, and furniture) in a safe manner
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a full-time hourly schedule, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures, equipment, and safe chemical handling, or willingness to learn
- Ability to follow directions, work independently with minimal supervision, and manage multiple tasks during a shift
- Professional, respectful demeanor with the ability to interact courteously with guests and team members
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities or requests from the engineering and housekeeping teams
The pay range for this role is:
16 - 16 USD per hour(Hilton Garden Inn Billings)
