Courier - Part Time in Crossville, Tennessee at Fairfield Glade Community Club

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

Responsible for coordinating daily deliveries of merchandise, interdepartmental mail and transfers to all FGCC departments. Provides purchasing assistance to managers and coordinates procurement of items from local vendors.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates daily interdepartmental deliveries of mail and packages and merchandise

• Coordinates daily pickups from the banks & post office

• Coordinates local deliveries for such items as dropping off member statements, County Clerk office, and similar needs

• Coordinates purchasing of supplies from local vendors

• Handles the recycling processes

• Serves as backup for the merchandise receiving staff when necessary including securing the inventory and office supply inventory in the Delivery/Inventory area. Accept normal deliveries from shipping carriers, i.e. UPS/Fed Ex.

• Process the receipt of resale merchandise, prepare receiving reports, and tag the merchandise for distribution to sales outlets.

• Ensure timely delivery of received merchandise to the different pro shops by coordinating deliveries with the Courier Supervisor.

• Must be organized, detailed oriented, have excellent communication skills, and show initiative to ensure all purchase orders are processed accurately.

• Must be able to work independently, with little supervision.

• Drive company vehicle in a safe manner and schedule maintenance as needed.

• Assists with pro shop inventories as needed.

• Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED

• Prior delivery & ordering experience a plus

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

• Understanding of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related software.

REQUIRED LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATES

• Valid TN Driver’s License

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Walking and standing for extended periods of time.

• Must be able to lift 40 pounds at a time (more with assistance)
