Position Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations with a focus on efficient order fulfillment, accurate inventory management, and adherence to quality standards. This hands-on leadership role ensures a productive, safe, and compliant work environment and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet service level expectations and operational goals. Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will oversee the Stockroom Clerks.
Requirements:Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment Oversight:
- Supervises and coordinates on-site warehouse order fulfillment operations, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping to ensure timely and accurate processing and delivery of customer orders.
- Monitors daily workflows to meet order fulfillment targets for accuracy and turnaround times and service level expectations.
- Collaborates with team members to optimize workflows and streamline processes for increased efficiency.
Inventory Control:
- Implements and maintains effective inventory control measures to ensure accurate stock levels.
- Conducts regular audits and cycle counts to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Ensures proper storage, labeling, and rotation of goods in the warehouse.
- Identifies, segregates, and documents non-conforming, damaged, or expired products; ensures they are properly labeled and securely stored pending final disposition.
- Monitors and responds to environmental conditions in the stockroom to always safeguard the integrity of stored products.
Team Leadership:
- Responsible for completing ongoing training in cGMP, MoCRA regulations, and company quality control procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and ensure thorough understanding of applicable requirements.
- Leads, coaches, and supervises warehouse associates, assigning tasks and monitoring performance.
- Supports employee training and development and makes staff available to complete all required training as assigned. Provides guidance to ensure staff members are well-equipped to perform their roles effectively.
- Enforces policies and procedures, including attendance, safety, and productivity standards. Delivers disciplinary action as appropriate.
- Identifies and implements improvements in workflow, layout, and processes to maximize efficiency.
- Provides regular performance feedback, including timely completion of performance reviews and delivery of coaching and disciplinary action.
Quality Assurance:
- Monitors and enforce quality control procedures to meet company standards.
- Addresses and resolves any issues related to product quality, packaging, or order accuracy.
- Adheres to all current Good Manufacturing Practice Requirements.
o Performs weekly GMP walk throughs on the WH floor to ensure we are following CFR 111.
o Follows strict sanitation protocols in accordance with FDA cGMP and MoCRA standards to uphold product safety and quality.
o Maintains accurate and accessible documentation for product traceability, inventory transactions, and shipments in compliance with MoCRA and 21 CFR Part 111, ensuring readiness for regulatory inspections.
Compliance and Safety:
- Ensures employees follow all company policies, including proper timekeeping practices, and are provided meal and rest breaks. Monitors timekeeping on a daily basis and makes edits and corrections as needed.
- Enforces safety regulations and provides safety reminders to team members.
- Ensures proper handling of equipment and materials to prevent accidents and damage.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Works closely with the Warehouse Manager to communicate operational updates, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
- Communicates announcements, updates, and reminders to staff as needed.
- Communicates with carriers and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a warehouse, distribution, or fulfillment environment is required.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or team lead experience is required. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and regulatory compliance in a warehouse setting.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand and walk for extended periods while observing or assisting warehouse operations and to communicate clearly with staff, vendors, and logistics partners in person and by phone.
The employee is frequently required to use hands and arms to handle, operate, or inspect warehouse equipment such as scanners and printers, as well as bend, reach, stoop, and twist when examining materials or resolving operational issues on the warehouse floor.
Occasionally, the employee may be required to push or pull carts and pallet jacks while assisting with staging or material movement, climb stairs or short ladders to access inventory or supervise activities from elevated work areas, and lift or carry packages or materials weighing up to 50 pounds using proper lifting techniques or assistance as needed.
This position is performed in a warehouse environment that may be subject to variable temperatures. The employee must be able to remain alert and responsive in a fast-paced, physically active environment and may be required to stand or walk for several hours per shift, particularly during peak periods or inventory counts.
