Surgical Coordinator in Brockton, Massachusetts at Signature Healthcare

Under the direction of the Practice Manager, with the physician’s order, books patient’s surgery with the operating rooms at hospitals, and manages the surgical booking process from the pre-op to the post-op phase. Maintains departmental booking systems for assigned providers. Answers and screens all telephone calls, and responds to all messages with appropriate follow through. Assists in orienting and training others the functions and duties of the position. Assists peers in other roles when work load warrants. Graduate of an accredited Medical Secretarial program preferred. Computer literacy and typing skills required. Knowledge of medical terminology.
