Job Summary
GardenCore is seeking an experienced End User Computing and Field Support Lead that is responsible for the installation and support of desktop PCs and notebook computers for the organization’s Information Technology. This primarily includes end user support for personal computing hardware, Microsoft Windows desktop operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, printers, and miscellaneous client access software. This position will also have responsibility for the installation and support of PC based applications directly supporting specific end-users or departments. This position works closely with their manager to ensure that the end user support services are delivered at level consistent with the organization’s requirements. This position will manage over 58 sites in the U.S. and will be required to travel up to 25% of the time to company sites based on business needs.

The End User Computing and Field Support Lead will be working onsite in the Peachtree Corners, GA office.
Responsibilities
- Assesses the personal computing device needs and capabilities of the organization. Makes regular reports to management concerning the effectiveness and current state of the technical environment and makes recommendations for improvement as required.
- Leads and coordinates installation, configuration, preventative maintenance, and support activities for the PC desktop and notebook computer environment including PC hardware, MS Windows operating systems, MS Office products, printers, and a variety of other PC based hardware and software products.
- Provides daily guidance to End User Computing Analysts on technical and procedural issues.
- Develops work plans and allocates resources for the design, build, and deployment of PC hardware and software. Provides technical expertise to each project effort as well as the ability to perform hands-on implementation functions.
- Assesses and ensures that appropriate support and deployment requirements of the personal computing environment are met. These functions may be completed through hands-on efforts and through delegation of work to team members.
- Works with management to set measurable and attainable goals related to the End User Computing team’s effectiveness using quantitative measures. Works closely with rest of team to ensure goals are met on a consistent basis.
- Proactively monitors process efficiency within team. Develops and maintains support and deployment processes to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maintains hardware and software stability for all desktop and notebook computers through application of sound skills and utilization of appropriate standards and procedures.
- Works closely with rest of the team to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction are attained on issues reported by end users.
- Efficiently and effectively utilizes team’s resources to assist in product selection, implementation, maintenance, and support activities.
- Prepare and ensure other team members prepare required documentation to aid in troubleshooting, cross-training, and inventory analysis.
- Demonstrates an advanced understanding of the PC desktop and notebook computer environment through ability to provide technical guidance and consistently produce desired results.
- Requires bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technology field.
- Requires five or more years of relevant PC installation and support experience.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in PC hardware and software technologies.
- Advanced knowledge and skills in all Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office, and MS Exchange/Outlook.
- Exceptional ability to troubleshoot and logically solve problems.
- Solid understanding of basic networking concepts.
- Must have strong interpersonal skills in communications with all levels of the organization’s personnel, vendors and IT personnel.
- Must be able to train others quickly and thoroughly on key IT concepts.
- Able and willing to travel up to 25% of the time to GardenCore locations nationally.
