Position Description: Our South Carolina Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) is a 24-bed program dedicated to providing structured, therapeutic care for adolescents. Were seeking a Security and Safety Director to oversee and shape the full scope of safety and security operations at our facility.

In this high-visibility leadership role, youll be responsible for protecting staff and individuals served while driving innovation, compliance, and operational excellence. You will lead safety protocols, emergency preparedness, and security initiatives, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for everyone. This position offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic leadership with hands-on impact, helping our team provide exceptional care in a secure, well-managed setting.

What Youll Do

Direct and oversee all safety and security operations for the facility. Lead, mentor, and manage the safety/security team to ensure high performance and accountability. Partner with leadership on strategic planning, budget management, and operational priorities. Collaborate with internal departments and local authorities on investigations involving security risks such as escapes, disturbances, or thefts. Develop, review, and implement safety/security policies, procedures, and emergency operations plans. Act as advisor during emergency responses, ensuring preparedness and effective execution. Ensure compliance with company standards, client requirements, and accreditation bodies. Monitor department systems, staffing, and resources to maximize efficiency without compromising safety. Education

High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Experience

5+ years in a secure treatment setting, with at least 3 years in management (required) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required) Licenses & Certifications
