About This Position

Position Description:

Are you an experienced security and safety leader ready to take the next step in your career? This is your opportunity to partner directly with site leadership and play a critical role in protecting employees, individuals served, and the surrounding community. In this high-impact leadership position, you will help drive operational excellence, compliance, and continuous improvement — all while ensuring a safe and secure site environment.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Security and Safety Director to support the Security and Safety Director in the overall management, direction, and supervision of all security and safety operations at the site. This role is instrumental in strengthening systems, enhancing efficiencies, and ensuring compliance — without ever compromising security or safety.

What You’ll Do

  • Support and help oversee all security and safety operations across the site.
  • Supervise, mentor, and hold security and safety staff accountable for performance and compliance.
  • Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, operational priorities, and budget development.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and local authorities on incidents involving security risks (e.g., escapes, disturbances, thefts).
  • Review, revise, and implement security and safety policies, procedures, and emergency operations plans.
  • Provide guidance and direction during emergency activations to ensure effective response.
  • Ensure continuous compliance with company standards, client requirements, and accrediting bodies.
  • Manage staffing levels and overtime to ensure coverage of mandatory and critical posts.
  • Monitor department systems and processes, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure required training is completed for self and supervised staff within established timeframes.
  • What We’re Looking For

    Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required).
  • Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in a secure treatment setting, including at least 3 years in a management role (required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (required).
  • Licenses & Certifications

  • Valid state driver’s license (required).
  • Why Join Us?

In this role, you will not only protect and secure a critical environment but also shape the systems and strategies that keep it running effectively. Your leadership will directly influence the safety of employees, the individuals we serve, and the wider community. We value innovation, accountability, and operational excellence—and we’re looking for a leader ready to make a difference.
