Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sales Assistant to support our sales team in driving growth and expanding our client base. The Sales Assistant will play a crucial role in our fast-paced sales environment by providing administrative support, coordinating sales activities, and ensuring seamless communication between the sales team and prospective clients. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic setting, be highly organized, and possess the ability to effectively multitask while maintaining a passion for helping businesses succeed.

Responsibilities:

● Support the sales team in identifying and qualifying new leads and opportunities.

● Assist in the development and implementation of sales strategies and initiatives.

● Attend industry events and networking opportunities to promote our services and build relationships.

● Respond to client inquiries and provide information about our services in a professional and timely manner.

● Initiate email and phone call campaigns to upsell to existing client base and market to new leads

● Provide support to the sales team, including preparing proposals, presentations and sales materials, as well as writing/editing e-mails, drafting memos and preparing communications

● Coordinate sales appointments, meetings, and client follow-up activities and send meeting reminders.

● Maintain and update the customer relationship management (CRM) system, NetSuite, with accurate and timely information.

● Collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure efficient sales processes.

● Maximize customer satisfaction by interacting with various customer service employees to learn the internal department dynamics that aid in being an effective member of the sales team.

● Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall sales effort.

Qualifications:

● High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field is a plus.

● Proven experience in a sales support or administrative role preferred. Experience in a business services environment is a plus.

● Strong understanding of sales processes and techniques.

● Proficiency in both Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite and NetSuite CRM software.

● Excellent computer skills, with the ability to navigate multiple software platforms efficiently

● Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.

● Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

● Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

● Knowledge of payroll, accounting, insurance, or merchant services industry is a plus.

● Ability to travel to networking events, sales meetings or a client’s location as needed within the Kansas City Metro area.
