Mission Yogurt, Inc. is a boutique hospitality company that operates restaurants primarily in high-traffic airports, including Denver International Airport. We are looking for a Back-of-House Prep Supervisor to support our operations at Marczyk Fine Foods, located inside the Denver Airport.
The Back-of-House Prep Supervisor is responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment. This role requires strong leadership, organization, and communication skills to ensure smooth daily operations in the kitchen and other back-of-house areas.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist in ensuring all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
Control waste and record all waste using the approved guidelines.
Maintain knife logs and temperature logs
Fill in on the line where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
Ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through personal inspection and by following the restaurant’s preventative maintenance programs.
Coaching, training and guiding team members in the back of house
Help to provide orientation of company and department rules, policies and procedures and oversee training of new kitchen employees.
Assist with labor as required by anticipated business activity while ensuring that all positions are staffed when and as needed and labor cost objectives are met.
Oversee the training of kitchen personnel in safe operation of all kitchen equipment and utensils, cleanliness and sanitation practices.
Maintain appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats, walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.
Provide safety training in lifting and carrying objects and handling hazardous materials.
Attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
Maintain approachability and cooperation with FOH staff.

Qualifications:
At least 1 year of back-of-house restaurant supervising experience.
Availability to work nights, weekends, flexible schedules, and holidays.
Exceptional leadership, interpersonal, written and oral communication as well as conflict resolution skills.
Strong task and time management abilities.
Record of maintaining high standards in restaurant cleanliness, sanitation, food quality, and guest satisfaction.
Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
Basic computer literacy, basic math skills, and strong analytical/decision-making skills.
Assesses work-related issues in a professional manner and exercises honest, non-biased judgment.
Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines.
Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the U.S.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to work on your feet for up to 12 hours. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching overhead, and lifting products and supplies weighing 20 pounds, and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds, as well as repetitive hand and wrist motion.
