Job Description

Senior/Staff Product Analyst

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior/Staff Product Analyst based in Canada.

You will join a high-impact Financial Services product organization where data is not just a support function, but a core driver of product strategy and business decisions.
In this role, you will operate at the intersection of Product Analytics, Decision Science, and Product Strategy, helping shape critical decisions that influence growth, profitability, and risk.
You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Finance, and business leadership to define what success looks like and how it should be measured.
Rather than answering predefined questions, you will help frame the right problems, design analytical approaches, and guide strategic trade-offs.
Your work will directly influence pricing, conversion, merchant outcomes, and overall business performance across financial products.
This is a highly strategic role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys deep analytical thinking, and wants to shape the future of data-driven product development.

Accountabilities:
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leaders to influence product strategy through advanced analytical insights and structured decision frameworks.
  • Lead end-to-end analytical initiatives, from defining ambiguous business problems to delivering actionable recommendations and supporting implementation.
  • Build and maintain analytical models that evaluate trade-offs across pricing, risk, conversion, profitability, and customer outcomes.
  • Design, execute, and evaluate experiments such as A/B tests focused on pricing optimization and conversion improvements.
  • Translate complex and ambiguous business questions into structured analytical approaches with clear success metrics.
  • Identify strategic product opportunities and operational inefficiencies through deep analysis of large-scale transactional and behavioral datasets.
  • Communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders and influence product roadmap decisions through data storytelling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, Finance, and GTM teams to operationalize data-driven decisions.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Analytics, Decision Science, Data Science, or a similar analytical role in a product-driven organization.
  • Advanced SQL skills with strong experience analyzing large-scale product or transactional datasets.
  • Proficiency in Python for statistical analysis, experimentation, modeling, or data exploration.
  • Strong understanding of experimentation frameworks, product analytics, and decision science methodologies.
  • Experience building analytical frameworks that directly inform product and business strategy.
  • Proven ability to lead ambiguous, high-impact analytical projects independently from definition to execution.
  • Strong communication skills with experience influencing Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders.
  • Experience with BI and data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar platforms.
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, data-driven environments such as fintech or technology companies.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in fintech, lending, payments, or risk-related domains.
  • Background in predictive modeling, optimization, or advanced statistical methods.
Benefits:
  • Competitive total compensation package aligned with senior/staff-level market benchmarks in Canada.
  • Flexible work environment with remote-friendly policies.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and wellness benefits.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching contributions.
  • Equity participation, giving you ownership in the company’s success.
  • Generous paid time off, including vacation, parental leave top-ups, and volunteer days.
  • Learning and development support, including training programs and career growth resources.
  • Wellness, home office, and equipment support programs.
  • Inclusive culture with employee-led communities, social initiatives, and collaboration opportunities.
