Job SummaryAretum is seeking a Technology Subject Matter Expert that delivers senior-level expertise in Federal IT modernization, cloud architecture, software engineering, intelligent automation, and digital transformation, supporting the Government in evaluating and implementing innovative technology solutions that improve mission performance, operational efficiency, and service delivery. This role provides technical leadership for complex modernization initiatives, rapid prototyping efforts, and strategic technology planning while advising executive stakeholders on scalable, secure, and mission-focused solutions aligned with Government objectives.
Due to the nature of our work as a federal consulting organization, employees may be expected to handle Controlled Unclassified Information and must adhere to applicable safeguarding and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities- Support the Government in identifying, evaluating, and demonstrating technology-enabled approaches that improve mission performance, operational efficiency, decision support, and service delivery across the service delivery and resource allocation support environment.
- Advise executive stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into actionable options, and shaping scalable, low-risk solutions that align with Government priorities, security expectations, and operational realities.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree, at a minimum, in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Possess active Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
- Have fifteen (15) or more yearsof Federal IT modernization, technology management, software engineering, cloud architecture, digital transformation, and/or related experience.
- Have ten (10) or more years of experience providing technical leadership for medium or large multi-task projects of high complexity in a Federal environment.
- Demonstrated experience leading cloud, platform, application, or solution modernization efforts, including hybrid cloud transformation, software development, and technical strategy.
- Experience leading or advising rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept development, technical demonstrations, coding challenges, or other innovation activities used to inform Government acquisition or modernization decisions.
- Experience applying intelligent automation, AI-enabled capabilities, data analytics, customer experience, and platform development approaches to improve workflows, decision support, and mission outcomes.
- Experience assessing technical feasibility, risks, dependencies, security/privacy considerations, and transition approaches associated with modernization initiatives.
- Experience supporting Federal civilian, homeland security, law enforcement, or other complex Government mission environments is preferred.
- Possess one or more relevant professional certifications in cloud architecture, agile delivery, or platform engineering (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Salesforce Heroku Architect, SAFe Agilist, or equivalent).
- Active Federal security clearance is preferred, ability to obtain and maintain an appropriate Government clearance is required.
