The FedHealth Program Execution Principal helps drive operational excellence, supporting program teams to ensure consistent delivery performance across the FedHealth portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Director of Program Execution, this individual will serve as a resource to assist programs with "how to" execution guidance, operational assessments, special projects, and coordination of division-wide initiatives.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving problems, and excels at translating operational standards into practical, repeatable actions in support of program execution.

Duties and Responsibilities

The FedHealth Program Execution Principal will:

• Support the "pre- and post-award" execution lifecycle by helping programs adopt division standards, tools, and processes to promote successful startup and sustained performance.
• Conduct light-touch program assessments for small and mid-sized programs (e.g., health checks, compliance checks, financial driver reviews).
• Serve as a consultative resource for "how do I..." questions related to program operations, compliance, startup, transition, financial baselines, risk management, and governance.
• Support the division's transition management processes and tools by helping maintain templates, guides, and operational artifacts.
• Assist in monitoring program adherence to GDIT standards and Federal Health policies (e.g., labor category compliance, audit readiness, quality processes).
• Help run division-wide or sector-wide initiatives, providing project coordination and structured follow-through.
• Prepare materials and coordinate inputs for data calls, recurring operational reviews, and special projects.
• Support margin optimization reviews for applicable programs and assist in identifying financial performance improvement opportunities.
• Help schedule and prepare Voice of the Customer review packages and follow-up items.
• Provide operational support for quality assurance tasks, risk tracking, and mitigation coordination.
• Contribute to the sharing of lessons learned, best practices, and program execution insights across FedHealth.
• Assist with rapid response tasks when adverse government feedback is received, helping gather data and coordinate corrective action activities.
• Support briefings to leadership by preparing slides, tracking actions, and synthesizing operational findings.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree
• 8 years of hands-on federal program or project management experience
• Experience working in roles such as Program Manager (PM), Deputy PM, project analyst, operations lead, or transition manager

• Experience managing all aspects of contract execution while analyzing budgets, schedules, staffing needs, and key financial performance drivers to ensure successful delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to interpret program execution standards and translate them into practical guidance for program teams.
• Experience supporting corrective actions, performance improvement efforts, or recovery of troubled tasks.
• Understanding of government contract transition and startup processes.

• Familiarity with quality management and compliance practices (CMMI, ISO, internal audits) is preferred.

Attributes for Success

• Strong communication and consultative skills, especially with program teams and internal stakeholders.

• High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in reporting and compliance tasks.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work with diverse stakeholder groups.

• Strong coordination, organizational, and follow-up skills.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed environment and influencing without authority.

Able to thrive in ambiguity and help bring structure to evolving operational needs.
