Position Title: Intervention Coach (Early Years)

Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School seeks Intervention Coach (Early Years) for the District in Washington, DC. Collaborate w/ teachers + teams on differentiation w/ Primary Years Program (PYP) instructional practices (grades PreK-K) through Chinese language to cultivate instructional effectiveness. Support strategies to grow student early achievement (socially, emotionally, and cognitively). Design play-based learning experiences for PreK-K teachers based on team needs. Design opportunities for new students + families to help them understand Chinese language development + proficiency. Design learning community through professional development, coaching + feedback (based on observations + lead teacher data), + build early years teaching fellows toolkit of practices + educational capacity to build strong pipeline of lead teachers. Collaborate on + coordinate enriching school events for families in early years for better understanding of connection between home + school learning. Analyze + support design of instruction to address racial + socioeconomic disparities. Must undergo background checks. Salary $84,802 to $91,775 per year. Must have Bach in education or any related field and 3 yrs relevant early years teaching experience. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese required.
