About This Position
Position Description: Job Summary
The Research Coordinator Assistant will provide support for the Research Coordinators the screening, active and enrollment teams for clinical trials. Assists with administrative tasks and essential Coordinator duties to improve the workflow.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare and attend teleconferences.
- Facilitate communication with sponsors.
- Help facilitate study specific training for staff.
- Help facilitate tracking of recordkeeping and updates.
- Run reports in the electronic medical record system for audit purposes.
- Regular telephone contact with patients for follow-up and reminders
- Assisting the safety team with reminders for medical records
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Plan meetings and take detailed minutes.
- Develop and maintain a filing system.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Exhibits polite and professional communication via phone, e-mail, and mail.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning etc.
Required Education and Experience
- High School Diploma/GED
- Medical Assistant Certification preferred, but not required.
- One year of administrative assistant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, Microsoft Power Point and Adobe Acrobat
- Familiarity with medical terminology is helpful.

- Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.

- Vision: Must be sufficient to read reports, instructions, correspondence, and any other written material pertinent to your job.
- Hearing: Must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, both in person and by telephone.
- Speech: Must be coherent to promote and market NEXT Oncology.
Working Conditions
- Climate controlled indoor setting.
- Set daytime hours. Workday consisting of 8hrs.
- Fast paced healthcare environment.
- Possible exposure to chemicals/drug and bloodborne pathogens due to the nature of the company.
