The Director of Community Outreach & Strategic Partnerships is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the organization's outreach, business development, referral growth, and community engagement strategies. This position serves as the primary representative of Simple Solutions Psychotherapy and is responsible for establishing and maintaining strategic partnerships with hospitals, health systems, health plans, physician groups, behavioral health organizations, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community-based organizations, government agencies, schools, housing providers, and other referral sources.

The Director oversees all outreach initiatives designed to increase awareness of the organization's behavioral health, psychiatry, psychological testing, Enhanced Care Management (ECM), Community Supports (CS), Recuperative Care, workforce development, and other supportive programs. This position is responsible for identifying new partnership opportunities, expanding referral networks, increasing program utilization, and supporting the organization's strategic growth throughout California.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

Develop and implement the organization's outreach, marketing, and business development strategy.Identify opportunities to expand services through new partnerships, contracts, and community collaborations.Develop annual outreach goals and strategic growth initiatives.Serve as a member of the leadership team by providing recommendations for organizational growth and community engagement.Analyze referral trends and recommend strategies to increase program utilization.

Partnership Development

Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with hospitals, emergency departments, physician groups, behavioral health providers, FQHCs, health plans, county agencies, probation departments, correctional facilities, schools, housing providers, shelters, faith-based organizations, workforce development agencies, and community organizations.Negotiate and establish referral partnerships and Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs).Identify opportunities for collaborative programming and grant partnerships.Represent the organization at executive meetings, advisory boards, coalitions, and community forums.

Business Development

Identify new business opportunities that align with the organization's mission and strategic goals.Develop referral pipelines for all organizational programs and services.Increase referrals for:Behavioral Health ServicesPsychiatryPsychological TestingEnhanced Care Management (ECM)Community Supports (CS)Recuperative CareWorkforce Development ProgramsDevelop and maintain relationships with managed care organizations and healthcare systems.Monitor market trends and identify emerging partnership opportunities.

Community Outreach

Lead community outreach initiatives throughout San Bernardino, Riverside, Los Angeles, and surrounding counties.Develop educational presentations and outreach campaigns.Coordinate participation in health fairs, conferences, networking events, and community meetings.Promote organizational services through public speaking engagements and community education.Increase community awareness of available behavioral health and supportive services.

Marketing and Communications

Collaborate with leadership on marketing initiatives and branding strategies.Review and approve outreach materials and presentations.Ensure messaging accurately reflects organizational services and mission.Support social media and public awareness campaigns related to community outreach and service expansion.

Leadership and Supervision

Supervise Community Outreach Coordinators and outreach staff.Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate outreach personnel.Develop outreach schedules and assign territories.Monitor staff productivity and performance.Conduct regular team meetings and coaching sessions.

Collaboration

Work closely with Executive Leadership, Clinical Directors, ECM, Community Supports, Recuperative Care, and Operations to ensure outreach efforts align with organizational priorities.Collaborate with internal departments to improve referral processes and partner communication.Participate in strategic planning and leadership meetings.

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain an accurate database of referral partners and strategic contacts.Track outreach activities, referral trends, and partnership outcomes.Prepare monthly and quarterly reports on outreach performance and referral growth.Monitor return on investment (ROI) for outreach activities.Ensure compliance with organizational documentation standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Marketing, Communications, Social Work, or a related field required.Master's degree preferred.Minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare business development, provider relations, community outreach, behavioral health, managed care, or strategic partnerships.Minimum of three (3) years of leadership or supervisory experience.Experience working with Medi-Cal, CalAIM, managed care organizations, hospitals, or community-based organizations.Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and a clean driving record.

Knowledge of California behavioral health systems and Medi-Cal programs.Understanding of CalAIM, Enhanced Care Management, Community Supports, and Recuperative Care.Strong business development and relationship management skills.Exceptional public speaking, presentation, and networking abilities.Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.Strong negotiation and partnership development skills.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to analyze data, identify growth opportunities, and develop strategic initiatives.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/referral management systems.The pay range for this role is:42 - 55 USD per hour(8350 Archibald Avenue)
