Sr. Content Marketing Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Content Marketing Manager based in the United States.

This role offers the opportunity to lead and scale a content marketing function within a fast-growing technology environment.
The Sr. Content Marketing Manager will own the content strategy, website performance, editorial operations, and full content lifecycle.
You will transform expert knowledge into compelling resources that educate specialized audiences and support business growth.
The position combines strategic planning with hands-on execution, requiring strong editorial judgment, SEO expertise, and operational discipline.
You will collaborate with product, sales, and subject matter experts to create content that drives awareness, engagement, and pipeline impact.

Accountabilities:

The Sr. Content Marketing Manager will be responsible for building a scalable content engine that supports business objectives, strengthens market positioning, and improves customer engagement. This role will oversee website strategy, content production, optimization, distribution, and performance measurement while managing internal and external contributors.

  • Own the website strategy and performance, serving as the primary owner of content updates, optimization, user experience improvements, and ongoing improvements.
  • Partner with internal teams and external development resources to prioritize and deliver website enhancements.
  • Manage the content roadmap and editorial calendar based on audience needs, market opportunities, search demand, and buyer journey stages.
  • Identify content gaps and develop strategies that improve awareness, consideration, conversion, retention, and expansion.
  • Coordinate content creation with internal subject matter experts, customers, partners, and external contributors.
  • Edit, refine, and transform expert insights into high-quality assets including articles, videos, case studies, solution briefs, whitepapers, webinars, newsletters, and sales resources.
  • Build a connected content ecosystem where each asset supports broader marketing and revenue objectives.
  • Manage and develop a Marketing Specialist, providing coaching, prioritization, and support to improve team performance.
  • Establish AI-powered workflows that increase content efficiency while maintaining quality, accuracy, and brand voice.
  • Lead SEO, AEO, and GEO initiatives across digital channels to improve visibility in traditional search engines and AI-powered platforms.
  • Conduct keyword research, optimize content structure, improve metadata, and implement strategies that increase discoverability.
  • Repurpose high-value content into multiple formats, including social posts, email campaigns, videos, and sales enablement materials.
  • Optimize landing pages, calls-to-action, messaging, and conversion paths through testing and performance analysis.
  • Measure content effectiveness through metrics such as organic growth, rankings, engagement, conversions, marketing-qualified leads, and revenue contribution.
  • Use insights and reporting to continuously improve content strategy and prioritize future initiatives.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B content marketing leader who can combine strategic vision with hands-on execution. They should have experience building content programs, managing contributors, optimizing digital experiences, and using data to drive measurable business outcomes.

  • 7+ years of experience in B2B content marketing, preferably within a fast-paced startup, scale-up, SaaS, cybersecurity, technology, or enterprise software environment.
  • Proven experience managing and developing team members or direct reports.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a company website, including content strategy, optimization, collaboration with developers, and performance improvements.
  • Experience creating and managing editorial calendars aligned with target audiences, industries, use cases, and buyer journey stages.
  • Strong experience working with subject matter experts and transforming technical expertise into customer-focused content.
  • Advanced SEO knowledge, including technical SEO, keyword strategy, content architecture, and optimization best practices.
  • Familiarity with AEO and GEO strategies and experience improving visibility in AI-driven search experiences.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools for content creation, editing, personalization, and workflow optimization.
  • Strong analytical mindset with experience measuring content impact through traffic, rankings, conversions, and pipeline contribution.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with the ability to create, refine, and optimize content independently.
  • Strong project management abilities with experience managing multiple projects, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Ability to introduce new ideas, improve processes, and confidently present recommendations to leadership.
  • Experience with tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Tag Manager, WordPress, SEMrush, Asana, Zoom, Google Workspace, content management platforms, and AI productivity tools.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
