Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The purpose of this position is to perform production scheduling and manage inventory control of finished goods, raw materials, and packaging materials. This position will also be responsible for purchasing miscellaneous equipment, items, tools, and expendable and non-expendable supplies for the manufacturing facility.

II. PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Schedule production.
  • Control all inventories within the plant.
  • Enter Purchase Requisitions.
  • Coordinate and schedule incoming raw materials.
  • Receive goods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

III. PRE-HIRE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors degree and 1-year experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment or 5 years experience in inventory control in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
  • Familiar with plant equipment and machinery
  • Ability to read, write. and speak English
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).

IV. POST-HIRE TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Safety training for applicable equipment
  • Environmental training applicable to the job
  • Quality system (ISO 9001) familiarization
  • ISO 14001 familiarization, which includes significant environmental aspects and EMS program objectives and targets
  • OHSAS 45001 familiarization, which includes work related hazards and risks
  • On-the-job instructional training as well as NetSuite training

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk and/or reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel objects, tools, and/or controls. Employee must be able to talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Must be able to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
