Documentation Specialist

Hanwha Materials Savannah LLC is a leading global provider of advanced engineered solutions for the aerospace and transportation industries. Our Savannah Operations is a heavy industrial Forging manufacturing plant located in Midway, Georgia, employs approximately 180 people and is poised for growth!

Job Summary:

Manages the process of handling non-conforming materials, parts, or products that do not meet strict engineering or quality specifications.

Essential Duties:

This is a representative summary of the major duties and responsibilities and is not all inclusive. Incumbent(s) may and may be required to perform additional, position-specific tasks.

  • Non-conformance documentation standardization.
  • Customer concession package creation and submission.
  • Site Quality Metric reporting (First pass Yield, Scrap rates, etc).
  • Act as a liaison between engineering, quality and supply chain teams to ensure non-conformance documentation is properly documented and archived.
  • Track product flow.
  • Strong Analytical skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T.
  • Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions.
  • Ability to create, review and update procedures and work instructions.
  • Maintains a safe and organized workstation; follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Prior experience in manufacturing environment
  • Ability to collaborate with other departments and team members
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong initiative, curiosity, and willingness to ask questions
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and handle competing priorities
  • Strong Excel skills, including the ability to organize, compare, validate, and reconcile data
  • Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products including PowerAutomate and/or Excel macro creation.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (TROPOS)
  • Previous experience working in an ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 accredited quality system
