Role coverage:
ASAP – December (with overlap for handover)
Reporting into: Global Head of Paid Media & SEO at our Customers HQ


This is a 6 month contract role paid at an hourly rate of $150-$170 based in NYC. The role requires being onsite 4x a week with Fridays being remote.


This is a Director‑level interim leadership role, intended for a leader with strong experience in search, digital marketing, and preferably financial services. The role exists to maintain momentum and ensure continuity across Search, SEO, GEO, LLM visibility, and AI‑powered discoverability during the Global Head of Search’s maternity leave.

The role will operate in close partnership with the Global Head of Paid Media and a SteerCo of cross‑functional partners across Digital & Content as well as partnerships with Marketing, Analytics, Engineering, and external vendors. This individual is not expected to operate independently or rebuild strategy, but to steward, advance, and execute work already underway.

Role Summary

·Maintain momentum on Search, LLM visibility, and AI‑powered discoverability across AMRS and global markets, while providing consistent team leadership and clear executive‑level communication. Ensure priorities remain aligned, execution continues smoothly, and senior stakeholders have confidence in direction and progress.

Search, LLM Visibility & AI‑Powered Marketing Lead (AMRS)

What This Person Will Do Day‑to‑Day:

Executive Communication & Global SME Responsibilities

  • Ensure strong executive alignment, continuity of leadership, and authoritative guidance on Search and LLM visibility


Executive & Senior Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Search, SEO, GEO, and LLM visibility for senior leadership
  • Communicate regularly with the Global CMO, providing:
    • Clear updates on performance, risks, and opportunities
    • High‑level insights on how Search and LLM discovery are evolving
    • Concise narratives that translate complex data into business impact
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across Marketing, Digital, Analytics, Content, and Engineering to:
    • Align priorities
    • Socialize progress
    • Escalate issues when needed


Global Subject Matter Expert (SME) – SEO & LLM Search

  • Act as the global SME for SEO, GEO, and LLM‑driven search and discovery
  • Provide authoritative guidance on:
    • Search strategy and best practices
    • LLM visibility and AI‑ready content structures
    • Technical readiness for search and generative AI platforms
  • Ensure consistency in how Search and LLM visibility are understood and applied across:
    • AMRS
    • Global teams (EMEA, APAC, Aladdin as needed)
  • Represent the Search & LLM visibility function confidently in executive forums, working sessions, and leadership discussions

Run Search & LLM Visibility Operations (Daily / Weekly)

  • Own day‑to‑day SEO, GEO, and LLM visibility workflows across AMRS, EMEA, APAC and partnering close with our Aladdin business
  • Work with AMRS Associate to turn insights into clear, prioritized recommendations for:
    • Content updates
    • New page creation
    • Evangelizing Conductor among AMRS stakeholders
    • Advise on dashboard creation for key campaigns

Be the Point Person for Key Stakeholders

  • Act as the primary search + LLM visibility contact for BlackRock
  • Join recurring meetings to:
    • Provide updates
    • Answer questions
    • Flag risks or blockers early

Manage Priority Content & Topic Workstreams

  • Oversee priority topic areas already in motion (e.g. crypto, income, dividends, investing basics)
  • Review content briefs and page templates (page groups, keywords, topics)
  • Ensure content is:
    • Search‑intent aligned
    • LLM‑readable
    • Structurally sound (headings, schema, internal linking)

Maintain Technical Readiness for SEO & LLMs

  • Partner with the technical SEO/GEO lead and Digital teams to:
    • Monitor crawlability and indexing
    • Ensure schema and metadata templates are applied correctly
    • Flag AI/LLM blockers (JS rendering, hidden content, component issues) and work to prioritize issues with components on high traffic sites)
  • Track progress on:
    • AEM technical improvements
    • Schema rollouts
    • Log file or bot access initiatives (where applicable)

Oversee Reporting & Executive Readouts

  • Own reporting cadence, including:
    • Search performance
    • LLM visibility trends
    • Topic coverage and competitive gaps
  • Contribute to or maintain Executive Scorecard inputs
  • Translate data into:
    • Simple narratives
    • Clear wins
    • Clear “here’s what we’re doing next” guidance

Coordinate with External Partners & Vendors

  • Serve as day‑to‑day contact for:
    • Conductor
    • Gain
  • Ensure:
    • Deliverables stay on track
    • Questions are answered quickly
    • Insights are actioned internally

Keep AI & LLM Education Moving (Lightweight)

  • Reinforce existing best practices for:
    • LLM‑ready writing
    • Prompt‑informed content creation
    • AI‑assisted workflows
  • Answer questions from teams who are starting to apply these practices
  • Escalate more complex decisions rather than reinventing them

Managing Direct Reports & Team Leadership

  • Goal: Ensure continuity, clarity, and momentum across the Search & LLM Visibility team during Laura’s maternity leave.

Day‑to‑Day People Management

  • Act as day‑to‑day manager for direct reports (e.g., AMRS SEO/GEO Lead, Global Technical SEO/GEO Lead)
  • Hold regular 1:1s to:
    • Prioritize work
    • Remove blockers
    • Ensure alignment to agreed goals and timelines
  • Provide clear direction on what matters most week to week (no re‑prioritization whiplash)

Workstream Coordination & Ownership

  • Translate broader goals into clear, actionable tasks for each direct report
  • Ensure strong handoffs between:
    • Activation (content, campaigns, insights)
    • Technical readiness (crawlability, schema, AEM improvements)
  • Maintain visibility into:
    • What’s in progress
    • What’s at risk
    • What needs escalation
