ABOUT THE ROLE

Responsible for leading and managing promotional team and activities across the US market to optimize opportunities in pursuit of OUP’s mission and ELT Vision & Values. Oversees delivery of the US ELT strategy, manages overhead budgets, sets targets, monitors performance, and manages distributor relationships.

Key Accountabilities include:

  • Analyze data to make insight‑driven decisions and provide accurate forecasts.
  • Deliver agreed budgets and sales targets through segmentation and promotions.
  • Lead team performance, wellbeing, and development.
  • Manage OUP’s US distribution network and annual distributor plans.
  • Oversee US overhead budget and ensure financial discipline.
  • Implement promotional strategies and devise tactical plans.
  • Represent US hub and share market intelligence with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with global and local processes and controls.
  • Drive cross‑hub collaboration and shared opportunities.

ABOUT YOU

• Business and commercial acumen
• Strong influencing, communications and presentation skills
• Customer focus and relationship building
• People‑management and coaching skills
• Analytical skills incl. forecasting and CRM use
• Ability to work independently and travel when required
• International education publishing experience preferred
• Knowledge of US educational market preferred
• Distributor‑management experience preferred
• Degree‑level education or equivalent preferred

Position Location: This role can be hybrid, based out of New York, NY or Cary, NC (2 days a week in office) or remote in the United States.

GJC Level: M6 (for internal purposes only)

Salary: $88,200 - $126,000 dependent on skills and experience
