As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Platform Architecture, you will lead technical strategy, architecture design, and modernization efforts across enterprise applications and cloud platforms. You will collaborate with engineering teams and business stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Lead architecture and technical strategy for enterprise desktop, cloud, middleware, and web-based platforms.
- Define scalable, secure, and maintainable application architectures, integration patterns, and engineering standards.
- Drive modernization initiatives, including migration from legacy application frameworks toward modern React-based solutions.
- Design cloud-native services, REST APIs, and hybrid cloud architectures across Azure and AWS environments.
- Establish architecture governance practices, including security standards, authentication strategies, encryption methods, and secrets management.
- Lead CI/CD architecture, deployment automation, and DevOps best practices across multiple technology environments.
- Oversee SQL Server architecture, enterprise data models, database optimization, and application performance improvements.
- Design enterprise integrations with middleware solutions, laboratory systems, field service platforms, and external applications.
- Create architecture documentation, technical guidelines, and engineering best practices to support development teams.
- Conduct architecture reviews, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with technical leadership on strategic initiatives.
- Evaluate technology decisions and provide recommendations that improve scalability, reliability, and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is an experienced software architect with a strong background in enterprise application development, cloud platforms, and technical leadership. You should combine deep engineering expertise with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and influence cross-functional teams.
- 12+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in a Software Architect, Principal Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. A master’s degree is preferred.
- Expert-level experience with C++, C#, .NET Framework, ASP.NET MVC/Web API, and Windows Services.
- Strong experience with React, Redux Toolkit, Vite, Node.js, and Express for modern web application development.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure cloud services, Azure AD, MSAL, JWT authentication, REST API design, and hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong SQL Server architecture skills, including database design, data modeling, and performance tuning.
- Experience with enterprise security practices, including TLS, encryption, code signing, and secrets management.
- Experience designing CI/CD pipelines, PowerShell automation, IIS administration, and DevOps processes.
- Proven experience modernizing legacy applications and leading cloud migration initiatives.
- Strong architecture documentation, problem-solving, communication, and technical leadership skills.
- Experience within regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, medical devices, or industrial technology is highly valued.
- Familiarity with AWS architecture, HL7/FHIR integrations, Salesforce Service Management, and enterprise middleware solutions is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
