Arc/AOD Repair in Waukesha, Wisconsin at MetalTek International

Inspect, repair and replace furnace and AOD vessel linings. Install refractory and tuyeres.

• Mortar, lay and cut bricks according to drawings, ram roof and furnace refractory and replace arc/AOD shell brick as required.
• Remove damaged or worn parts and linings using chisels, hammers, bars, etc.
• Perform routine maintenance on arc furnaces.
• Operate power lift truck as needed to transport materials.
• Maintain inventory of parts, lining materials, etc.
• Assist with induction furnace repairs as needed.

• Good mechanical aptitude.
• Basic blueprint knowledge.
• Experience with basic measuring instruments.
• Able to lift and carry 75 lbs.
• Good general knowledge of induction furnaces.
• Familiarity with a variety of refractory materials.
