This is a high-impact pre-sales engineering role focused on helping enterprise customers design, understand, and adopt modern identity and access management solutions. You will act as a trusted technical advisor throughout the customer lifecycle, partnering closely with sales teams to shape strategy, deliver compelling demos, and translate complex security requirements into scalable cloud-based solutions. The role blends deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, requiring the ability to engage with stakeholders ranging from developers to C-level executives. You will lead discovery sessions, build proof-of-concepts, and guide customers through complex IAM use cases in fast-moving enterprise environments. This position is ideal for a customer-obsessed technologist who enjoys solving real-world security challenges and influencing product direction. You will play a key role in driving adoption of identity platforms that secure modern digital ecosystems.
- Partner with account executives to design and execute territory and account strategies that maximize business opportunities and customer adoption.
- Conduct technical discovery sessions to understand customer requirements and translate them into tailored identity and access management solutions.
- Deliver compelling product demonstrations, presentations, and technical storytelling to showcase platform capabilities and business value.
- Design and execute proof-of-concept (POC) environments for complex customer use cases, collaborating with engineering teams when needed.
- Create technical documentation and guidance to support implementation of best practices and solution architectures.
- Act as a bridge between customers and internal teams by capturing feedback and communicating insights to Product, Engineering, and Marketing.
- Support customers across the full development lifecycle, from evaluation to implementation and scaling of solutions.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering, solutions engineering, or similar customer-facing technical experience.
- Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM), including SSO, MFA, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and LDAP.
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security principles and application security fundamentals such as encryption, SSL/TLS, and secure authentication patterns.
- Experience working with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly through presentations, demos, and whiteboarding.
- Hands-on technical background in at least one area such as backend, frontend, mobile, or API development is a plus.
- Ability to engage with multiple stakeholder personas including IT administrators, security leaders, architects, and procurement teams.
- Strong customer-first mindset with proven experience in consulting, support, or pre-sales roles.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with confidence in enterprise-level discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, MIS, or related field preferred.
