Assistant Nurse Manager at Auburn Community Hospital – Auburn, New York

With the Director of Critical Care, the Assistant Nurse Manager will plan, direct, and supervise nursing practice on an assigned unit utilizing evidence-based practices in the nursing process. Accountable and responsible for unit and unit management with a fiscal, clinical, quality and customer service focus. Attain and maintain clinical practice competency in a particular practice area; utilize effective and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills; maximize the educational opportunities of the unit with Staff Development.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State
• 3-5 years of nursing experience in Critical Care Unit/ Step Down ICU
• Three (3) years Supervisory/Charge Nurse experience preferred
• ACLS, PALS, BLS

Typical Working Conditions:

Some exposure to communicable diseases or toxic substances, ionizing radiation, therapeutic preparations and other conditions common to a healthcare environment.

Typical Physical Demands:

Requires a full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts, carries and pushes items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions or working irregular hours. Requires exposure to communicable diseases or body fluids.

Salary: $95,000-$105,000/annually
