Job Description
Advanced Practice Practitioners are licensed health care professionals that practice medicine with the supervision of a licensed physician. Consistent with New York state law they evaluate, diagnose, formulate and implement treatment plans, educate and counsel patients and families, prescribe, assist with surgical procedures and perform other responsibilities within the scope of practice of and as delegated by the supervising physician. Advanced Practice Practitioners are committed members of the multi-disciplinary health care team that maintain professional competencies while providing high quality, cost effective, patient centered care consistent with the mission, vision and values of Auburn Community Hospital.
Qualifications:
NYS license and registration as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required. National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). If not currently certified through NCCPA, will be required to obtain within six months of initial employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Advance Practice Practitioner clinical experience. Prior experience in Oncology also preferred.
Salary: $59.93-$86.64 an hour
