Job Description

Position Title: Senior Director – Market and Training Development

Position Overview

The Senior Director – Market and Training Development primary responsibility is increasing the company's revenues for targeted product (s) within targeted markets through key customer engagement activities and KOL development. Secondary responsibilities include the co-development and execution of sales and clinical training modules that assist the growth of regional and territory managers. This position reports to the Chief Business Officer.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with sales managers, territory managers, plastic surgery specialists and SCR resources to identify and assist with securing new customers.
  • Train and develop identified territory managers needing additional field-based training to optimize growth potential.
  • Identify and recruit prospective KOLs for targeted product(s).
  • Set measurable goals and develop an execution plan to achieve expected revenue growth.
  • Execute new target market initiatives that support targeted products and customers.
  • Research prospective accounts in target markets to pursue and/or generate leads to move them through the sales cycle to closure.
  • Support the Strategic Customer Relations team in securing contracts with National GPOs, local IDNs and regional collaboratives, and driving compliance on contracted targeted product(s).
  • Collaborate with marketing product managers in creating engaging content that will serve to attract new customers and KOLs for targeted product(s).
  • Support all key members of the commercialization team to assist with the execution of market growth activities for targeted product(s).
  • Facilitate revenue growth by collaborating with current and or prospective customers and KOLs.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or other related business field, required.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or other related business field, preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 10+ years of experience within the medical device industry overseeing the customer prospecting and lead-generation of new business opportunities which results in revenue generation and increased market share.
  • Proven ability to identify valuable long-term relationships with customers to encourage retention of their business and extended revenue generation opportunities.
  • Experience in managing key customer relationships and developing strategic opportunities.
  • Exceptional communication skills that enable one to clearly convey clinical, financial, and operational value.
  • Adequate technical skills in MS Word, MS Excel, and PowerPoint, which are necessary for the creation of both visually and verbally engaging analyses, reports, and presentations.
  • Highly confident individual who is professionally assertive to promote customer engagement.
  • Self-motivated individual requiring minimal supervision and a collaborative team player having a passion for team building.
  • Must be comfortable working with both internal and external business leadership and executives, be open and welcoming to change, be a creative and strategic thinker, with exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to stay focused in times of uncertainty and stress inspiring the same to others in the organization.

  • Must have demonstrated ability to multi-task in high pressure, changing conditions.

Working Conditions

This position works in a home office, hospital, HCP office or clinical environment. The noise level in the work environment is quiet to moderate.

Primary Location and Travel

We anticipate that on an ongoing basis this role will be a field office-based position that requires extensive travel to healthcare facilities across the United States, and participation in face to face Corporate and Commercial meetings, as needed.
