Facilities Worker at In Flight, Inc – Red Hook, New York

Scope of Work Performed: The Facilities worker position is responsible for all matters of routine upkeep and
maintenance of agency vehicles, equipment and property. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager.

Qualifications:

Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematical computations.

Must have knowledge of plumbing, carpentry, electrical and painting.

Must have knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance

Must have a valid NYS driver’s license with acceptable driving record per agency policy

Essential Job Duties/Tasks:

• Completes daily assigned work orders, reports documented results to the Foreman.
• Picks up, lifts and delivers furniture and equipment for all sites upon request.
• Duties will also include light construction, snow shoveling, general repair and maintenance of minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical and building issues.
• Responsible to maintaining all agency vehicles are serviced accordingly with regards to anything above oil changes, tire rotations, inspections.
• Maintains lawn equipment as directed
• Performs general grounds maintenance as needed
• Performs snow removal – whether shoveling or plowing – will need to be on call for snow removal
• Performs any related duties as requested by the Manager and/or Executive Director.
