Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Scenario Planning Coordinator and Facilitator. Coordination and Facilitation will be for the South Pacific Large Vessel (Hawaii Longline and American Samoa Longline) fisheries as well as the American Samoa, Mariana Islands, and Hawaii small-boat fisheries.

The Climate Change and Communities Program (CCCP) is a program under NOAA’s Western Pacific Regional Fishery Management Council and is funded through the Inflation Reduction Act. This work can be conducted remotely, and is anticipated to begin in January 2025 and end in December 2026. We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, has 5+ years experience coordinating, and has worked with longline or small boat fisheries in once of the covered locations.

Tasks:

  • Provide scenario planning coordination for of all Council CCCP projects and activities occurring in the South Pacific Large Vessel (Hawaii Longline and American Samoa Longline) fisheries as well as the American Samoa, Mariana Islands, and Hawaii small-boat fisheries.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience scenario planning and coordinating for a fishery.

Additional preferred qualifications shall include:

  • Experience working in the South Pacific Large Vessel (Hawaii Longline and American Samoa Longline) fisheries or the American Samoa, Mariana Islands, and Hawaii small-boat fisheries.

Salary range is $25 - $35 based on experience.
