JOB SUMMARY
This position manages low to medium complexity projects to execute all stages of projects from initiation through acceptance and closeout. This position manages project design efforts of all engineering disciplines to provide overall project delivery in accordance with Client requirements. It is accountable to organize, integrate and lead a project team to successfully meet the project objectives. This position works closely with other Project Managers to develop higher-level skills related to multi-discipline project management.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Direct development of project scope, cost and schedule, design, drawings and field support for multiple concurrent projects.
- Direct resource planning, cost estimating and scheduling functions in coordination with Program Management, Resource Management, Engineering and Technical Specialists.
- Assist other Project Managers to direct and coordinate the activities of multi-discipline project teams to meet clients safety, cost, quality, schedule, technical and operability objectives for multiple concurrent projects.
- Identify and implement Change Management in all stages of projects.
- Accountable for integrating safety into all aspects of design and execution.
- Accountable for adherence to Client policies and standards.
- Accountable for adherence to designated quality standards.
- Establish and maintain positive client relationships.
- Promote company capabilities and value proposition.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of Stage-Gate Project Execution preferred.
- Experience in FEL development and estimating preferred.
- Ability to obtain skills and knowledge to successfully manage multiple concurrent projects, achieving all project safety, cost, quality, schedule, technical and operability objectives.
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications and ability to learn new software programs as required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced work environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree required, preferably in Engineering, Construction Management, or related/relevant bachelors degree
- 1 to 10 years of experience in Heavy Industries project environment (Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utilities)
- 0 to 10 years of Project Management experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to sit/stand, type, and perform computer work for long periods of time.
- Frequent use of hands/fingers for computer entry and answering phones.
- Able to perform occasional bending, lifting, and reaching.
- Must be able to lift 15 lbs if necessary.
- Field trips to job sites (local and/or remote), with travel and remote site assignments.
