Payroll Specialist at Ninyo & Moore – San Diego, California

Job Description: Ninyo & Moore has an immediate opportunity for a Payroll Specialist/Labor Compliance Assistant in San Diego, California. In this position you will manage and maintain the company’s payroll system for all employees and assist the Labor Compliance Officer with prevailing wage/Union tasks. A successful candidate will be very detail driven and organized, delivering timely and accurate payroll and record keeping.

Responsibilities:

• Process bi-weekly payroll (including salary and hourly employees), maintaining all related records in Deltek Vision and ADP Workforce Now.
• Review and adjust timesheets in Deltek Vision.
• Maintain leave of absence records for employees.
• Make manual adjustments in ADP for payroll changes.
• Manage payroll service provider (ADP).
• Maintain garnishments.
• Track sick and vacation accruals.
• Work with HR on employee benefits and withholding (401K, FSA, HSA, etc.)
• Assist in 401K audit and financial statement audit by providing payroll related support.
• Experience with Prevailing Wage and Certified Payroll is a plus.
• Assist Labor Compliance Officer with certified payroll reporting, uploading to state DIR website and various portals such as LCP Tracker and LAUSD.

Required Skills: The successful candidate should have 3-5 years of payroll accounting experience, working with ADP payroll systems (ADP Workforce Now is a plus). Experience with prevailing wage and union is a plus. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems. Must be able to work independently and be comfortable with high volume.
