About This Position

Position: E-Commerce Sales Agent

Location: Calabasas, CA – Hybrid

FLSA Classification: Exempt, Full-Time

Required Travel: Trade Show Travel

Description

The E-Commerce Sales Agent is responsible for delivering high-quality customer support and internal sales support for the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) E-Commerce Team. This role will serve as a product knowledge expert, ensuring that end customers and partners have a positive, seamless, and successful Abbyson experience from start to finish.

Core Responsibilities

  • Cross-functional communication and collaboration
  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of all Abbyson product lines
  • Provide web chat sales support
  • Deliver exceptional web chat customer experience
  • Support customer inquiries and assist with customer acquisition
  • Essential Functions

  • Understand customer needs and provide appropriate solutions and support
  • Qualify leads from digital campaigns, conferences, referrals, tradeshows, and other sources
  • Create and maintain a database of prospective clients
  • Answer potential client questions and conduct follow-up communication
  • Partner with the B2C sales team to close sales
  • Track weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance metrics and B2C sales results
  • Maintain accurate prospective customer and client records within the CRM
  • Close sales and support customers throughout the closing process
  • Perform routine site merchandising maintenance, including updating product content, monitoring site accuracy, and ensuring a consistent customer experience
  • Support both B2C and B2B trade clients by managing product listings, pricing, and merchandising needs across channels
  • Assist with tradeshow travel coordination, including scheduling, logistics, and on-site support
  • Contribute to tradeshow operations and event setup by preparing materials, organizing displays, and supporting the Sales Channel
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of merchandising and event-related initiatives
  • Qualifications & Requirements

    • Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Communication or equivalent.
    • 3-5 years’ experience in outbound/inbound call center, inside sales experience, or related sales experience
    • Must be energetic, well-spoken, and eager to close sales and increase revenue.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect and interact with potential customers over phone and web chat
    • Persuasive and goal-oriented
    • Possesses an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor
    • Eager to expand company with new sales, clients, and territories
    • Self-motivated and self-directed
    • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
    • Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close
    • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel) and CRM experience preferred
