Job Description

Description:

Get closer to your agency.

We are collaborators and communicators who build brands and partnerships. Balancing a big agency mindset with the intimacy of a smaller firm, we prioritize long-term results while fostering a creative environment where good people thrive. While we take pride in our work, our greatest accomplishment is our ability to attract and retain talented and friendly individuals, shaping our reputation as an inclusive and supportive workplace. As one of Pittsburgh’s most awarded agencies, we remain committed to excellence.

Get closer to your role.

As our grants, strategy, and policy portfolio expands across Pennsylvania and nationally, we are seeking two experienced freelance professionals to support complex, high-level funding initiatives. Our work centers on nonprofits, education systems, disability advocacy organizations, workforce development initiatives, and emerging artificial intelligence programs. We partner with institutions shaping public policy, strengthening systems, and building long-term infrastructure within their communities. These roles require more than technical skill. They demand strategic thinking, policy awareness, and a deep understanding of how funding decisions influence institutional and community outcomes.

Requirements:

Get closer to your responsibilities.

  • Lead development of competitive Pennsylvania state grant proposals
  • Draft compelling submissions to national and corporate foundations
  • Align narrative strategy with scoring criteria, legislative intent, and programmatic goals
  • Translate complex initiatives in education, disability advocacy, workforce development, and artificial intelligence into clear, persuasive proposals
  • Collaborate with executive leadership teams to position organizations for long-term funding success

Experience, skills, knowledge.

  • Demonstrated success securing Pennsylvania state competitive grants
  • Proven track record with national and corporate foundation funding
  • Strong understanding of public funding systems and review processes
  • Executive-level writing ability: precise, strategic, and disciplined
  • Ability to synthesize policy, systems strategy, and program design into compelling narratives
