About This Position

Be the steady, trusted presence when it matters most — YOU help create safety, stability, and hope for children starting over.

The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. Our vision is for all new arrivals to be welcomed with equitable, high-quality services and resources so they can maximize their potential.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT IN THIS ROLE?

In response to the humanitarian crisis at U.S. ports of entry, you will play a critical role in providing short-term shelter care for unaccompanied children.

You will assist in delivering trauma-informed care and support services, helping ensure every child has access to medical, educational, recreational, and therapeutic resources. Most importantly, you will be part of a team committed to preparing each child for a safe and successful transition to their family sponsor.

WHO YOU ARE?

You are compassionate, reliable, and driven by purpose. You bring patience and understanding to challenging situations and are committed to supporting children from diverse cultural backgrounds.

You thrive in fast-paced environments, can remain calm under pressure, and approach your work with empathy and professionalism. You understand the importance of structure, safety, and consistency — and you show up ready to make a difference every day.
