The mission of CPLC's Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) is to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees, unaccompanied alien children, and other eligible individuals and families, through culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and strengths-based services. In response to the humanitarian crisis at America’s ports of entry, CPLC is providing short-term shelter care services for unaccompanied children who arrive without a parent or legal guardian.

In this role, you will:

• Support a best-in-class residential environment that prioritizes the emotional, educational, physical, and therapeutic needs of every child.
• Help ensure children receive immediate access to pediatric care, dental care, nutrition, education, and enrichment activities.
• Contribute to a team that is deeply committed to trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and strengths-based practices.
• Play a crucial role in helping children reunify quickly and safely with their family sponsors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES

• High School Diploma or equivalent degree and a minimum of 1 year employment experience in the child welfare field working with children and/or adolescents.
• Associates degree with at least one (1) year of supervisory experience, highly preferred.
• Minimum age of 21 years or older.
• English/ Spanish bilingual capabilities required.
• Must possess and maintain a current valid Driver’s License meeting company standards of insurability
• Proficiency with computers, common office equipment, and MS Office products.
• Must be able to perform emergency behavioral intervention (EBI) for clients in care when necessary.
• Meet the requirements of the contract for all immunizations.
• Clean criminal background check.
• Clean child abuse and neglect or child protective services check.
• Ability to pass a medical examination to determine one’s fitness to satisfactorily and safely care of clients if accommodations are required.
