About This Position

*This is a hybrid position that is based in our Chicago/O’Hare Area office. Applicants must live within a 100-mile radius of home office to be considered for the role.

Your Purpose:

Financial Data Analyst I to support data-driven work within the finance department. This entry-level role focuses on maintaining data accuracy, supporting recurring reporting, and responding to routine data analysis requests across multiple systems. The position is well suited for an early-career professional with strong Excel skills, exposure to data visualization, and an interest in building a solid foundation in financial data and analytics.

The Financial Data Analyst I works closely with senior finance and analytics staff and provides operational data support to the broader Finance team.

What You'll Do:

Collect, validate, and maintain data across financial, CRM, and reporting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Salesforce).Execute recurring data pulls and updates for standard reports and dashboards.Create, refresh, andmaintainreports and visualizations.Support routine staff requests for data, including counts, lists, and summaries.Maintain product codes, rate codes, and related classifications to ensure data consistency.Perform structured data validation and reconciliation toidentifytrends, anomalies, discrepancies, and data integrity issues across financial and reporting systems.Assistwith data preparation tasks related to reporting workflows, including light ETL-style activities where applicable.Assistwith generating projections, period-over-period comparisons, and trend analyses to support recurring financial reporting and planning activities.Organize and document recurring processes, files, andreportingoutputs.Follow established procedures and meet recurring deadlines with accuracy and reliability.Assist with ad hoc data requests or short-term analysis projects outside of standard reporting cycles.Support data cleanup or one-time data correction efforts related to system transitions, audits, or special initiatives.Participate in testing, validation, or user acceptance activities for new reports, dashboards, or system enhancements.Assistwith documenting or updating internal data definitions, process notes, or reference materials as needed.

What You'll Need:

Bachelor’s degree (or expected completion) in finance, accounting, economics, business analytics, information systems, ora related field.Internship, coursework, or academic project experience involving financial data or reporting systems.Experience with Tableau or similar data visualization tools.Familiarity with databases, data structures, or querying concepts (e.g., SQL).Exposure todata integration, transformation, or ETL concepts through coursework, projects, or internships.Experience working with CRM or financial systems (e.g., Salesforce, Sage Intacct).Strong Excel skills, including formulas, lookups, and working with large datasets.Experience creating ormaintainingreports, dashboards, or data visualizations.Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.Ability to follow defined processes and manage recurring tasks.Clear written and verbal communication skills.Eagerness to learn and grow technical and business skills.Strong organizational and time management skills.Ability to take directions, ask thoughtful questions, and incorporate feedback.Dependable, collaborative, and team-oriented approach to work.This position does NOT require travel.Experience with Software & Systems: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Salesforce, Personify, Adobe Acrobat, Tableau, FileMaker, Sage IntacctThis hybrid role follows standard business hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m.) in a fast paced, independent, results-driven environment. Collaboration occurs mainly through virtual meetings, with occasionalinofficetime in ahotelingcubicle setting. The position also involves attending monthly department meetings and quarterlyallstaffevents in person.
