Job OverviewWe are looking for an Office Manager / Bookkeeper who can become the anchor of our office. This is not a sit-in-the-corner-and-process-paperwork kind of role. We need someone organized, sharp, proactive, and genuinely great at bookkeeping, but just as importantly, someone who can help keep the whole company moving.
You would be the person who helps make sure things do not fall through the cracks. One minute you might be handling bookkeeping across multiple entities, the next you might be reviewing a proposal before it goes out, helping with lead intake, researching a new software platform, or taking a project off the owners plate and just running with it.
This role is for someone who wants responsibility, variety, and room to grow. The right person will not be judged on degrees, polish, or whether their background looks traditional on paper. We care much more about whether you are capable, dependable, resourceful, and able to get things done.
Who We AreWe are a small Fort Worth construction company with a tight-knit team, a strong reputation, and a very un-corporate personality. We do serious work, but we do not pretend to be a big corporate machine. People here wear a lot of hats, solve problems in real time, and help each other out.
The ownership team is hands-on. The husband/wife team drives the business, with the wife leading the interior design side. The culture is candid, hard-working, and relaxed in the ways that matter. Your dog is welcome at the office if he/she is not annoying. If you need time off to handle personal stuff, were fine with that. Nobody is obsessed with punching a timeclock, and adults here are trusted to handle their business and get work done.
What Youll Be DoingHandle bookkeeping for three LLCs, with strong day-to-day ownership in QuickBooks.
Act as the owners right-hand person for projects that need research, follow-through, and judgment.
Be the first point of contact for incoming customer leads and help create a strong first impression.
Review, clean up, and format proposals before they go out to clients.
Help support marketing efforts and other business needs as they come up.
Keep the office organized and make sure important details do not get lost in the shuffle.
Strong bookkeeping skills, especially in QuickBooks.
Someone highly organized who naturally keeps balls from being dropped.
Someone comfortable wearing a lot of hats and figuring out what needs to happen next without being babysat.
Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
Solid working knowledge of Google Docs and Google Sheets; Microsoft Office experience transfers well too.
Construction knowledge is helpful, but not required, we can teach the industry side if the person is strong.
Base salary of $60,000$70,000, plus bonus potential tied to company performance.
Paid vacation, paid holidays, and usually a MondayFriday schedule with rare weekend work.
Health, dental, and vision insurance available.
A chance to become a key operator inside a growing company, not just an admin seat on an org chart.
