Job Title: Property Accountant
Annual Salary: $65k - $70k
Schedule: Full-Time Remote
Everett, WA

What we are looking for
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced property management environment. Experience in property management accounting is preferred.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Review monthly rent revenues
- This is a remote position
- Close monthly and annual financial statements (reconciling balances, reviewing income and expense balances for unusual trends or entries, etc.) in Yardi Voyager
- General ledger acount reconciliaations and analysis
- Monthly bank statement reconsiliations
- Review and post standard accruals
- Able to deliver clear, legible written and oral communication in English, via email, MS Teams calls, and by phone
- Reconcile security deposit balances to supporting accounting reports and to bank statements. Prepare documentation for case transfers between operating, security, and tax accounts.
- Review and report available cash balances to property managers and accounts payable
- Cash Management for assigned properties
- Assist with special projects as needed. (Audits, owner requests, etc.)
Qualifications: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance preferred
- Experience with Yardi and Voyager preferred
- Previous experience in Property Management is desired
- Basic knowledge of common software and operating systems, including Word, Excel and Windows.
- Should be a self-starter and must demonstrate initiative
- Knowledge of monthly financial statement preparation
- Understanding of financial statements, debits and credits, and accrual and cash methods of accounting
- Experience in general ledger account reconciliation and analysis
