OB Nurse Manager

Employee is primarily responsible for the assessing the needs and caring for patients in the OB during labor and delivery. Employee will be responsible for educating patients about post-partum and infant care needs. Employee also cares for infants in the nursery. Employee should have good communication and critical thinking skills. Employee normally performs the duty assignments using methods and procedures at his/her discretion and limited only by policies set by administrative or legislative authority. Total end results determine the effectiveness of job performance.

Must be able to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, sometimes in excess of 40 hours per week.

ASN, BSN, Diploma Degree from an accredited School of Nursing.

One to two years of related experience

Must exhibit basic computer knowledge

Current registration with the State of Indiana required. Certification in BLS and neonatal resuscitation required.

Math skills to calculate dosages. Ability to multi-task. This position requires frequent standing, walking, use of hands and fingers, lifting and carrying 0–100 lbs and pushing and pulling 0–100 lbs.
