This is a high-impact finance role within a fast-growing Canadian B2B SaaS environment, where you will bridge operational accounting excellence with strategic financial planning. You will play a central role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and delivering actionable insights that guide business decisions. The role blends hands-on accounting ownership with forward-looking FP&A responsibilities, including forecasting, budgeting, and KPI analysis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product, and Operations to drive financial clarity across the organization. This position is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic, tech-driven environment and enjoys improving systems, processes, and analytics. You will also contribute to automation and AI-enabled transformation of financial workflows.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead month-end and year-end close activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with ASPE accounting standards while maintaining strong General Ledger integrity
  • Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, SaaS revenue recognition, and support audit, tax, and external reporting requirements
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, ensuring financial accuracy and risk mitigation across accounting processes
  • Build and maintain KPI dashboards, financial models, and reporting tools to support strategic decision-making
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles in collaboration with department leaders and ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Perform variance analysis and identify financial trends, risks, and opportunities to support business performance
  • Drive process optimization, automation, and system improvements across accounting and FP&A functions, including AI-enabled tools

Requirements:

  • CPA designation required
  • 3–5+ years of experience in financial reporting, FP&A, or corporate accounting
  • Experience in public accounting or Big Four environments considered a strong asset
  • Strong knowledge of ASPE accounting standards and operational finance principles
  • Experience in SaaS or technology environments is highly valued
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills, with exposure to ERP and FP&A systems preferred
  • Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis in collaboration with business stakeholders
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail and sound judgment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Demonstrated curiosity for innovation, including familiarity with AI tools and willingness to explore new technologies

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary range: 110,000 to 120,000 CAD
  • Remote-first role within Canada with flexible work arrangements
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and disability coverage starting from day one
  • Virtual care, mental health support, and employee assistance programs
  • Annual wellness allowance and internet subsidy
  • Retirement savings plan with employer matching
  • Employee stock options participation in company success
  • Professional development support and ongoing learning opportunities
  • Flexible time-off and wellness-focused culture including flex days
  • Performance-based compensation review and growth opportunities
