LINK Staffing | Houston, Texas (On-Site) | Full-Time

Are you a risk management professional who thrives on variety — one day conducting a client site safety assessment, the next analyzing claims trends, and then training field teams on accident prevention? LINK Staffing is hiring a Risk & Safety Coordinator to serve as a key member of our risk management operation across all company locations and client sites.

Location:

Houston, Texas — Support Center (On-Site)

Type:

Full-Time, Exempt

Department:

Risk Management Services

Reports To:

Chief Operating Officer (COO)

What You’ll DoSafety & Loss Control
  • Promote a safety-first culture
  • Serve as LINK’s primary safety resource — advising management, training staff, and auditing operations across all locations
  • Conduct on-site risk assessments at client sites to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
  • Coordinate programs to reduce workplace accidents, occupational illnesses, and long-term health hazard exposure
  • Investigate accidents and injuries; prepare materials for hearings, lawsuits, and insurance investigations
  • Compile and submit accident reports to regulatory agencies; develop prevention strategies and share lessons learned
  • Claims Management
  • Coordinate the full claims lifecycle — from intake through resolution — using risk transfer techniques to minimize cost
  • Build and maintain relationships with claims adjusters, insurers, outside legal counsel, and related parties
  • Input first reports of injury into the claims management system
  • Participate in all workers’ compensation claim reviews
  • Ensure all external reporting requirements are met
  • Insurance & Workers’ Compensation
  • Support approved insurance programs and promote loss prevention
  • Process certificates of insurance and send annual posting notices to field offices
  • Assess, assign, and audit workers’ compensation classification codes
  • Assist with client selection related to workers’ compensation classification
  • Maintain compliance with insurance procedures and safety/risk management manuals
  • Training & Safety Programs
  • Lead the Safety Committee and help develop company-wide safety awareness programs
  • Deliver on-site training classes, video training programs, and safety awareness sessions
  • Create safety programs tailored to specific client environments
  • Serve as the go-to resource for safety inquiries from the field
  • Reporting & Analysis
  • Perform monthly trending, analysis, and reporting of workers’ compensation claims
  • Facilitate monthly reporting by collecting and distributing data and final reports to stakeholders
  • Complete trend analysis for distribution to leadership
  • Field Support
  • Provide direct customer service and support to all LINK field offices
  • Travel a minimum of 25% to client sites and company offices for inspections, training, and relationship management
  • What You Bring

    Required:

  • 2–4 years in safety management, risk management, or claims management — preferably in staffing, construction, manufacturing, or industrial environments
  • Working knowledge of OSHA standards, incident reporting, risk assessments, and safety audits
  • Experience with workers’ compensation processes including classification coding, claims handling, and broker/TPA coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Solid analytical skills with a focus on root cause analysis
  • Ability to travel 25%+ and conduct physical site inspections
  • Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • OSHA 30-Hour Certification
