Job Description
TRUE Fitness is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our engineering team and help design, test, troubleshoot, and improve the electrical systems behind our fitness equipment. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who enjoys solving technical problems, working with both hardware and systems, and seeing their work become a real product.
You’ll work across electrical and electronic systems—from motors and control boards to wiring, sensors, power components, and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC). You’ll collaborate with engineering and other teams to ensure our products are safe, reliable, manufacturable, and perform as intended.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical support and engineering expertise for electrical systems used in fitness equipment, including:
AC and DC power systems
AC and DC motors and control boards
Linear actuators
Motor-driven pulley conveyors
EMI filters
Capacitors, inductors, resistors, switches, and circuit breakers
Cables, wiring, and related electrical components
- Read, interpret, and follow electrical schematics to analyze and troubleshoot electrical systems.
- Design and create interface cables, wiring diagrams, schematics, and cable assemblies using CAD tools.
- Test and troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems using a variety of test equipment, including:
Digital multimeters
Oscilloscopes
Immunity test generators
Spectrum analyzers
Power meters
- Apply techniques to identify and reduce radiated and conducted electrical disturbances.
- Develop and perform testing of electrical products and components.
- Design and fabricate test fixtures, devices, and equipment needed to support product testing and validation.
- Review and evaluate engineering changes from internal engineering teams and outside suppliers or engineering firms.
- Maintain accurate digital engineering records, test documentation, and project information.
- Provide routine project and testing progress updates.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, product development, manufacturing, quality, and other teams to resolve technical issues and improve products.
- Support other engineering projects and initiatives as needed.
What You Bring
Required:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- At least 2 years of experience with:
Analog and digital circuits
Electrical system analysis
Electrical troubleshooting
Project management
- Experience using CAD software to create wiring diagrams, schematics, and cable assemblies.
- Experience with Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and electrical disturbance testing.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while also contributing effectively as part of a team.
What You'll Get to Work On
This isn't an engineering role where you'll spend all day behind a desk. You'll have opportunities to design, test, troubleshoot, build, and improve real products. You'll work directly with electrical and electronic components and help solve problems throughout the product development and manufacturing process.
If you enjoy figuring out why something isn't working, designing a better solution, and seeing that solution make its way into a finished product, we'd like to hear from you.
Travel
This position requires infrequent domestic and international travel.
