VP of Marketing

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a VP of Marketing based in United States.

This is a senior marketing leadership opportunity with end-to-end ownership of brand, demand generation, and customer engagement strategy.
You will translate company-wide growth objectives into a focused marketing roadmap that drives pipeline, revenue, and market position.
The role combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution across a growing marketing organization.
You will build and develop high-performing teams spanning brand, demand generation, product marketing, and marketing operations.
Working closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Development, you will shape integrated go-to-market strategies and strengthen market positioning.
Your perspective on customer needs, competitive dynamics, and industry trends will directly influence executive-level business decisions.
This role offers the opportunity to make a measurable impact within the U.S. higher education technology market while working in a fully remote environment.

Accountabilities:
  • Own and evolve the overall marketing strategy, establishing multi-year priorities and translating company objectives into an actionable roadmap.
  • Build, resource, and manage the marketing organization, including budget planning, vendor relationships, operational infrastructure, and resource allocation.
  • Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing marketing leadership team with strong capabilities across brand, demand generation, product marketing, and marketing operations.
  • Define and execute demand generation and pipeline strategies across channels, with clear accountability for acquisition, pipeline creation, and revenue contribution.
  • Lead brand strategy, positioning, and thought leadership initiatives to strengthen market presence within the higher education sector.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Product, and Customer Development leadership to align marketing priorities with broader go-to-market and company strategies.
  • Bring market intelligence, customer insights, competitive analysis, and emerging trends into executive-level strategic discussions.
  • Establish a comprehensive marketing measurement framework, including KPIs, ROI models, attribution approaches, and reporting cadences for evaluating performance.
  • Drive integrated marketing initiatives that produce measurable business outcomes and support sustainable organizational growth.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, with significant experience in SaaS, software, or technology organizations operating in the U.S. market.
  • 5+ years of experience leading and scaling marketing organizations through periods of significant growth.
  • Demonstrated experience managing a marketing P&L, including budget planning, resource allocation, and vendor or agency management.
  • Deep expertise in brand management and content strategy, with a proven ability to strengthen brand equity in competitive markets.
  • Strong track record of partnering with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and other cross-functional teams to deliver integrated go-to-market strategies.
  • Proven ability to build and execute marketing strategies that generate measurable, executive- and board-level business results.
  • Direct experience with the U.S. higher education market is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency with marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Strong command of marketing analytics, attribution, and performance measurement, with the ability to turn data into strategic recommendations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, relationship-building, and decision-making skills, with the ability to influence across functions and operate effectively at executive level.

Benefits:

  • Competitive base salary of $175,000–$200,000 USD.
  • Full benefits package, including paid medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • 401(k) matching program.
  • 100% remote work environment within the United States, with availability during U.S. business hours.
  • Unlimited and flexible paid time off.
  • Every other Friday off.
  • Monthly stipend for home-office, professional development, or wellness expenses.
  • Generous parental leave policy.
  • Inclusive reimbursement fund supporting reproductive health, adoption, and gender-affirmation-related treatment.
  • An inclusive and collaborative environment that values diverse perspectives, innovation, learning, and belonging.
